This month is all about supporting the fighters, appreciating the survivors, honouring the taken, and never giving up hope. Yes, you got that right: February symbolizes the time of year when we all come together to raise awareness about cancer. During this National Cancer Prevention Month, let us take a step to help a worthy cause. It brings us yet another opportunity to spread the word and take action in order to live better, healthier, and happier lives. Although little was understood about the human body at the time, the earliest evidence of cancer was documented in ancient Egypt about 1500 B.C., when tumours on the breast were discovered. Despite the fact that no treatment has been discovered, we are now closer than ever to finding one.
Cancer has been with humans since time immemorial, afflicting people all over the world regardless of race, age, gender, or social class. Its suffocating grasp has resulted in an upscale in recent decades as a result of modern lifestyle adoptions. Its increase has been aided by smoking, a bad diet, and a lack of exercise. The most prevalent cancers today are those of lung, breast, rectum, colon, skin, stomach, and prostate cancers.
Well, here’s what you can do to observe this month-
Show your dedication towards community service by spreading awareness or donating and supporting organizations working towards this cause. At TCP, we aspire to boost health equity and spread hope and support by working towards this cause and your contributions mean a lot to us. Make the world a better place. Reach out to the world and go a long way in making a difference.
Take action. Eat what does good to your body, exercise regularly and maintain an active lifestyle. Stop smoking and quit tobacco. Shield yourself well from the sun this summer and get immunized.
We look forward to your contribution, involvement and support! We hope you make this month great by doing the smallest things that actually matter.
